Hi, I'm Alex
I'm Alex Pagnotta, and this is my personal site. It's not really a blog or a portfolio, more a place where I share whatever I find interesting, work related or not. I'm not a big fan of social networks and I rarely use them, so think of this as my own little Twitter or Instagram.
I'm a principal developer at WILD. I work across the whole stack, frontend and backend, and over the years I've had the chance to build projects for clients like Duolingo, Brawl Stars, IKEA and many others. These days a big part of my role is helping the company adopt AI, from the internal tools and workflows we use every day to the AI products we build for our clients.
Work aside, I like to keep myself busy with hobbies and side projects, especially making things. I think it's a great time to be a maker, since with 3D printers and AI helping with the software and the research, pretty much anyone can build what they have in mind, and I'm really enjoying it.
As for my personal life, I'm 29 and I live in this beautiful part of Italy. I read a lot, mostly science fiction, but also science and history books, or anything else that catches my interest. I spend a lot of time tuning my coffee setup and trying different beans. I also love filling my apartment with plants, probably more than it can really fit.
I also love to travel (who doesn't?), and Japan is definitely my favorite place. I've been there twice, and it's still not enough. I try to take some photos too, and even though I'm not very good at it, you can see some of them here.
That's pretty much it. If you want to work together or just say hi, you can reach me through the contact button below. Otherwise, I'll leave you to explore the rest of the site.
